We are a small, community focused bar and restaurant looking for a creative & energetic (temporary) part time Social Media & Community Manager to help us spread the word that we are re-opening. You will help shape the voice and visual identity of The Lede, and play a vital role in expanding our community by engaging new audiences. If you have a passion for all things food & drink with a love for community-building, this could be the place for you. This position is temporary for 3 months with possibility for extension
Job descriptionOur Ideal Candidate
- Knows what it takes to build a strong following, ideally with 2-3 years marketing experience in food and/or bar industries
- Has strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience in community outreach and digital marketing across website platforms, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
- Deeply in tune with the goings-on of Oakland and the latest trends with a silly, outgoing personality
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain content strategy and social media content calendar
- Write, design, schedule, and execute content for social media, email and promotion
- Engage with our community online and generally keeping up on industry/marketing trends
- Manage our presence on various online platforms (our website, business listings, Yelp, etc.)
- Develop new audiences, outreach to local community to expand customer base
