Job description

Digital Marketing Coordinator

Location: Stone Barns Center For Food And Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, New York

Environment: Work from Home and On-site Work Environment (schedule to be agreed upon / updated on a monthly basis)

Supervisor: Reports to the Director of Communications

Employment Classification: Full-time/Salaried, Non-Exempt

Frequency of pay: Bi-weekly

Salary: $57,000 gross / annum

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401k plan, and paid time off. 

Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, occasional weekend shifts as required.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will support the development and execution of digital marketing plans and strategies. The Digital Marketing Coordinator stays informed about the popular and sector-specific discourse on the food system and culture, industry trends, and landscape, while helping strategize and implement marketing plans. Day to day, they may draft reports, create or coordinate content, track results, build relationships with teams, and otherwise support all marketing strategies. 

Responsibilities:

Database Management

  • Maintain integrity and functionality of CRM and email marketing databases (Donor Perfect and Constant Contact); run reports and create lists for email marketing and other fundraising/marketing needs.

Email Marketing

  • Support development and execution of emails from marketing/development/programming departments, including supporting strategy, drafting copy, developing drafts for review, managing content development, design and send processes. 

Website

  • Update and maintain website content on Wordpress site; serve as liaison to external web development firm.

Social Media

  • In concert with Comms team, develop ongoing roadmap and content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and manage drafting/posting process; refine strategy through reporting/analysis; monitor comments and inboxes.

Audience Development

  • Track performance analytics and manage audience development strategy across platforms

Writing/Editing

  • Writing and copy editing programmatic and other language as needed. Strong writing, copyediting, spelling and grammar skills required. 
 

You Are:

  • Committed to Stone Barns Center’s mission, exploring the intersection between a food and farming culture
  • 2+ years of past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role, with a preference for professional experience with social media
  • Share a commitment to diverse, equitable and inclusive programming to enrich the lives that make up the organization and transform the way we serve and engage communities
  • Able to follow projects to completion and to integrate feedback from collaborators 
  • Organized and able to prioritize a diverse workload and be proactive
  • Solution oriented
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently and as a part of organizational squads
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills, including an understanding of Instagram/Twitter/Facebook, Wordpress, G Suite and Adobe Programs
  • Experience with research using data analytics software
  • Willing to learn and use new technologies in the field
