Internship description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative marketing assistant to help with our digital marketing efforts. You will be joining a team passionate about sustainable seafood and will be key to the success of our business. This exciting opportunity is mostly remote with strong growth potential. Candidate must be based in NY and able to commute to meet the team if needed, as well as potentially work at some of our farmers markets.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning, execution and monitoring of the brand’s social media.
  • Community manage social media pages by engaging with existing and potential new customers using brand voice.
  • Work on a bi-weekly content calendar and pitch strategies to grow social media community. 
  • Create various forms of content to post to our social platforms.
  • Assist with weekly online performance analytics and competitive landscapes.
  • Participate in the process of photoshoots by pitching creative ideas for upcoming campaigns/product launches.
  • Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks.
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field such as advertising, journalism or PR.
  • 2+ years of experience related to social media, digital or content marketing.
  • Strong understanding of the major social media platforms.
  • Well-developed computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word required).
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred. 
  • Understanding of how to use analytics to inform decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on tight deadlines.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic team player.
Compensation this position is : hourly, $15/hr +
