Job description
About the role:
As Oishii has grown, we've expanded our distribution to bring more of our coveted Omakase Berries to more customers. In this role, you'll handle deliveries from our farm HQ in Kearny, NJ to our customers in the broader NYC area, ensuring that our berries get there safely, on-time, and in perfect condition.
What you’ll do:
- Handle deliveries to retail accounts, specialty stores, and individual customers' apartments/homes
- Communicate promptly, effectively, and respectfully with all accounts/customers and members of the Oishii Business team
- Facilitate feedback as necessary between accounts/customers and Oishii team
- Exercise strict adherence to NJ/NY parking and traffic regulations
- Support Oishii with delivery assistance for special events as necessary
- Maintain hygienic packaging and delivery operation when handling Oishii’s products
- Support Oishii Farm Team with assistance for packaging and on-site operations as necessary
- Serve as a representative of Oishii to the world - for our customers, you will "be" Oishii
Who you are:
- You’re a meticulous, dependable, and self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
- You have 2+ years of delivery experience in NYC
- You have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a personal vehicle in good condition for handling deliveries that is covered with personal car insurance
- You can lift up to 50 pounds comfortably
- You’re able to make deliveries at least 5 days a week, including consistent weekend delivery slots, early morning deliveries, and some special deliveries further afield
- You’re authorized to work in the US
- Bonus if you love working in the food / restaurant industry and are excited about bringing world-class produce to market
Additional details:
- Start date: Immediate
- Pay: Competitive hourly rates, can be full-time or part-time depending on your preference, and potential for salaried position depending on skills and experience.
- Location: Pick-ups each morning on-site at our company’s headquarters in Kearny, New Jersey, with deliveries throughout the day to the broader NYC metro area
