Located 35 miles west of Chattanooga TN, nestled in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley, we have been producing award winning cheese for the past ten years.
As well as buying in milk from another farm in the area, we are a seasonal Farmstead operation, which means we raise, manage and milk our own animals during the spring, summer, and fall. While we are mostly known for our raw milk cheeses, over the past year we have been adapting and adding pasteurized products into our varying line of products.
With a line up of cheeses that varies from fig leafed wrapped blues, to extra long aged comte inspired behemoths, and to small, delicate, wash rinds that are only aged for a couple of weeks, we can offer a wide range of education and training that could further any burgeoning or experienced cheese aficionado’s career.

What we expect:
- What we do is laborious. Long hours on your feet standing on concrete floors. Wet and hot environments as well as wet and cold environments. Lots of cleaning (it’s a majority of what we do, actually). Handling heavy equipment and products. This working is rewarding, but also taxing. An 8 hour shift can sometimes feel like 12 hours
- A flexibility of schedule. The cows, the milk, and cheese waits on no one. Availability for one weekend day is a must.
- Our product needs to be safe to consume. We’ve all seen articles about cheese recalls or problems that have led to people being harmed by consuming unsafe food products, which is why we have strenuous food safety standards and expect food safety to be among the top priorities of any member of our team.
- Organization skills: This position will have some further responsibilities in maintaining certain ingredient and supplies inventory.
- Understanding of and ability to operate in microsoft Word and Excel. You don’t need to be a savant, but a basic level of understanding and operating is desired.
- Previous food handling experience is a must.
Full-time position making and aging cheese: 35-40 hrs/wk
