THE ROLE:

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is innovative and results driven with a  passion for all things food and hospitality! As an Event Manager you will be responsible for managing our Drop off Catering & Events program, liaising with high end clientele and collaborating with our production and culinary team in all stages of the process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drop Off Catering & Event Management

  • Manage our Drop-Off Catering schedule and client communications including sending client estimates, proposals, managing invoices and payments.
  • Managing Event Catering enquiries and spearheading the planning process through to event completion. Including all client communications, vendor management, staffing, budget management and also onsite event management.
  • Creating and managing all necessary event documents including proposals, rental and equipment orders, alcohol ordering, packing lists and event jobsheets.
  • Managing internal communications with production and kitchen team relating to both drop off and event catering.

Sales & Marketing Strategy

  • Assist our Sales Director in maintaining and growing our client base through scheduled monthly outreach and prospecting new business.
  • Maintaining an up to date CRM platform including documenting new sales leads and updating current client details as necessary.
  • Manage and oversee our social media weekly posting schedule.
  • Manage and oversee our social media weekly content plan, ensuring that content is always on brand and is in line with our company ethos.
  • Manage under the guidance of our Sales Director our bi-weekly newsletter send out including content and copy which directly relates to current events, company promotions or seasonal updates.

Client Relations:

  • Maintaining great relationships with clientele is integral to the success of M&G. You will work directly with clients in order to make sure their needs are being met and lines of communication are clear and professional.
  • Complete confidence in resolving clients issues in a professional and timely manner so the client is satisfied.
  • Ability to fluently discuss M&G services and offerings, client budgets and any other questions that clients may have.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of Event Management experience
  • Knowledge & expertise in using CRM platforms and Quickbooks accounting software.
  • Thorough knowledge of social media & email marketing platforms.
  • Detailed knowledge of the catering and events industry in NYC including food trends, style and design principles and venues.
  • Impeccable communication skills, extremely detail orientated and second to none time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and make educated decisions
  • Capable of delegating and managing other staff members
  • Most importantly a candidate who is hungry for the next opportunity and willing to go the extra mile!

Hours: Full time Hours – Monday – Friday. Our office hours are generally 9-5pm however hours may differ depending on the week and some additional hours or weekend work may be required for onsite event work.
