Job description

We are seeking a Marketing Copywriter who understands our brand identity as well as our brand voice and can help us reflect accuracy and consistency in all our varied marketing content, including but not limited to advertising copy, listing copy, email marketing copy, and social media copy.

 

This role can be onsite or primarily remote with occasional visits to our offices located in Mahwah, New Jersey.


Role & Responsibilities
Your primary function will be to interact and collaborate closely with the Culinary and Marketing Teams to perform and manage the following vital functions:

 

  • Create compelling copy for consumer-facing packaging that convinces consumers to buy our products
  • Develop unique and creative names for products and features that give us a distinctive appeal in the marketplace
  • Work with the culinary and marketing departments to create sell sheets for every new appliance with a focus on USP
  • Provide email marketing copy for both the Chefman and CHEF iQ brands, including headline, body copy, subject lines, etc.
  • Conduct research on competitor product pages to discover how products are discussed in category
  • Work with our social media team to create engaging, SEO-driven content

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Writing, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of copywriting experience
  • A familiarity with cooking, a love of food, and the ability to speak “culinary”
  • B2C e-commerce writing experience preferred
  • Experience writing packaging copy
  • Expertise with standard editorial concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Superior organization and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Team player yet self-directed and proactive
  • Ability to work on tight schedules, meet deadlines, and respond quickly to changing priorities
