Job description

We are looking for a dynamic Social Media Writer who loves all things food and cooking. While you will report to the Copy Director, you will also be a crucial part of the Marketing team. Your responsibilities will primarily include creating and writing fun and engaging copy for various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, and TikTok, in support of our products. You may also write email newsletters well as other marketing copy as needed. The ideal candidate is a high-energy team player who has strong communication skills and can maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

 

This role can be onsite or primarily remote with occasional visits to our offices located in Mahwah, New Jersey.


Role & Responsibilities
Your primary function will be to interact and collaborate closely with the Culinary and Marketing teams to perform and manage the following:

 

  • In collaboration with the Marketing team, execute all social media initiatives and strategies
  • Write on-brand, accurate SEO copy for all social media initiatives
  • Work with the Marketing team to research and monitor both branded and industry relevant hashtags
  • Ensure that all social media channels are optimized on a frequent basis and make suggestions for improvement
  • Work with the Copy Director to ensure that all social content meets brand guidelines
  • Assist with finding and cataloging relevant User Generated Content (“UGC”) for social reposting
  • Assist with Social Media Giveaways from selecting winners to ensuring promo orders are placed
  • Continually review and analyze processes to help improve scalability and automation

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2 years of Marketing, Copy, or Professional Social Media experience preferred
  • A familiarity with cooking, a love of food, and the ability to speak “culinary”
  • The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, highly collaborative, team-driven work environment
  • Creative communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Basic video production and editing skills preferred
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Capable of managing multiple projects
