The Organic Trade Association and Organic Center are looking for a marketing coordinator to support virtual and in-person event marketing efforts, and to provide general support for the communications team. We are looking for an organized and digitally savvy team member who can help execute the marketing plans for all engagement opportunities– both virtual and in-person.

The ideal candidate is excited about executing data driven marketing plans and comfortable jumping into new platforms like CVENT, Mailchimp, Zoom and Salesforce. The marketing coordinator will be responsible for the management and upkeep of our outgoing communications calendar as well as the master calendar of opportunities for member engagement such as conferences, events, and webinars. The coordinator will be responsible for the full implementation of marketing plans – from event registration to email marketing campaigns and coordinating important details from sponsor recognition to attendee data management.

We are looking for someone who will keep us organized, on-track and grounded in all the moving parts. If you are someone who heads to YouTube for a tutorial on “how to” xyz, gets satisfaction from tweaking email margins and seeing click through rates climb, and does not fear new technology – this might be the perfect job for you.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of digital marketing plans – implement the set-up and send of content for the web, email marketing, and social campaigns
  • Project manager of the master content calendar of events, engagement opportunities, and outgoing communications – updating and flagging related communications needs to the full staff, updating our websites, and the keeping the communications team organized around upcoming activities
  • Owner of the full event registration process for in-person and virtual events – from webpage set up, to reporting on registration conversion, data tracking and integration, and user experience (confirmation email, technical support).
  • Coordinates sponsor recognition and benefits fulfillment related to marketing campaigns (logo sourcing, inclusion on marketing materials), as well as registrant concierge (comp/guest tickets, registration adjustments, payments/invoicing follow up) as needed for in-person and virtual events
  • Provides general support for the communications team – such as assisting staff with admin communications needs (such as document formatting, presentation support, web updates, tech support on webinars and virtual meetings, etc.) as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3 or more years managing events, marketing, technical and/or related work
  • Eager to learn new technologies and develop streamlined systems for process improvement
  • Experience working in digital marketing and event platforms like CVENT, Mailchimp, Zoom, Salesforce or equivalent systems
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Interest in organic food and agriculture or sustainability is required
