Our Story: Heart Stone Coffee is a bakery founded under the non-profit, Partners Creating Community. The goal of our bakery is not only to produce high quality rustic pastry from scratch using great ingredients (locally sourced as much as possible), but to work with adults with emotional or intellectual disabilities in the kitchen. Job description
A Pastry Cook with Heart Stone will be tasked with producing a line of baked goods and/or other items, under the direction of the Pastry Chef, as part of a team. This includes engaging with our contributors in a positive and supportive manner, operating large kitchen equipment, reading, and scaling recipes, accurately measuring ingredients, cleaning and maintaining kitchen space, organizing and baking all pastry items, and arriving on time with a positive attitude. We are a very inclusive company (it is our actual mission statement!) and hope to engage the community with a creative, seasonal menu produced by a neurodivergent staff.
Compensation
this position is : hourly, $15-20/hr
