The NGA Foundation is the nonprofit arm of NGA which runs programs to develop more effective recruiting programs, enhance retention efforts, and bolster professional and leadership development opportunities for employees. One program of NGAF is the grant funded Technical Assistance Center which provides education and resources on nutrition incentive projects, particularly those funded through the USDA Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program (GusNIP). The Technical Assistance Center facilitates grantee, retailer, and technology partnerships for successful nutrition incentive projects.

Job description The NGA Foundation is seeking a Project Assistant to support the staff and programs of the Foundation. The Project Assistant will be responsible for providing necessary administrative support, helping with special projects, and facilitating the delivery of foundation programs. The ideal candidate would have a “can-do” attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.


  • Track and monitor action items and assist Foundation staff in meeting various program deliverables.
  • Facilitate communication with various stakeholders and internal departments.
  • Website maintenance and content creation.
  • Manage Foundation inboxes and track requests for assistance.
  • Administrative duties to include: scheduling meetings, meeting notes, compiling materials, formatting/printing documents, and expenses.  
  • other related assignments as necessary

  • Proficiency in WordPress, Microsoft office suite, Zendesk, GoToWebinar
  • Process oriented
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Requires bachelor’s degree and/or relevant work experience in office support and administrative work settings
  • Preferred experience/interest in food industry/grocery
Salary starting at $40,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
