Lambert’s Cove Inn on Martha’s Vineyard is looking for a Sous Chef to lead the kitchen team and work with our Executive Chef and Pastry Chef in our beautiful restaurant, Woods. Our aim is to become the best restaurant on the Vineyard. Our culinary model will be based on an upscale dinner prix fixe program along with an a la carte bistro dinner, and eventually, lunch menu. Our food will highlight the best available New England ingredients, with a special focus on Martha’s Vineyard sourcing. We are looking for a Sous Chef who wants to take the next step in his or her career, someone who is a team player and is also adaptable and responsive to Inn's guest's needs. We are looking for a Sous Chef who has hotel or catering experience as well as dinner line experience, as the Sous Chef will also lead the efforts for in-house events and will oversee other Inn food and beverage programs. If you don't possess event or catering experience, we ask that you be willing to learn this aspect of our business. We are looking for a Sous Chef who is passionate about the local food scene and who enjoys doing a bit of farming him or herself. Housing part of compensation. The Sous Chef will also receive three paid months off in the off season (January, February, and March) when the inn is closed.
