Rippleffect is a non-profit youth and community development organization operating outdoor adventure programming out of Portland, Maine. We own Cow Island, a beautiful 26-acre island in Casco Bay, and run many of our youth and adult programs from this remote eco-campus. Our solar array, well water, compost, and on site garden drives our commitment to sustainability and fuels our kitchen. Serving over 3,500 youth and adults each year, we are leaders in outdoor adventure and experiential education in the Northeast region.
Job descriptionWe are seeking an Island Cook for the 2022 Summer Season. The Island Cook is primarily responsible for preparation of excellent meals under supervision of the Food Service Manager on Cow Island. We seek strong culinary skills and a community minded individual to join our tight knit team. Our Island Cook works our full island season from Late May through late August with potential for additional fall season dates in September and October.
