We are a small handmade artisan pasta company in the Bay Area. Made in small batches with organic semolina and local ingredients, we dry our pasta slowly for a superior texture and bite.
Launched in 2020 during the covid pandemic as a side project because he was furloughed, Chef Tony Adams is just starting to launch Mill Valley Pasta Co. into the Bay Area food scene and is growing each and every week. Our pastas are sold locally in both large and small grocery stores, at farmers markets, as well as our factory store. We are a small pasta company, born in the pandemic, and are located in San Rafael, CA where we specialize in dried and fresh extruded pastas. We sell mostly at farmers markets, wholesale, and have a factory store here as well.
This job is perfect for someone who has perhaps been in the food world and wants to continue to work with great products without the nightmare-ish life that comes with restaurants and bars... Perhaps you've worked retail and have a passion for small local companies trying to build something great?! Our small team is close and important to our day-to-day operation, with each team member contributing to our success daily, either by creating great food, packing our products in beautiful packaging, and interacting with the best guests in the Bay...
We need immediate help with several points of our small operation, including:
- Pasta Packer - packing pasta and other products, while keeping an eye on our factory store operation (Full-time, little bit of flexibility with this position)
- Farmers Market Booth Attendant - Selling our pastas and provisions at local farmers markets several days a week (Part-time or full-time depending on availability - our markets are currently all morning markets with early AM starts and mid afternoon shift end-times!)
- Culinary Kitchen - cooking sauces, making various seasonal provisions with incredible local produce, meats, and great unique ingredients (part-time... quite flexible schedule for this position!)
Some roles feature a schedule that is a bit flexible and all roles feature weekly days off that are back-to-back. Each employee has access to complimentary pastas and provisions, as well as a discount on products in our factory store that we curate.
Depending on interest and skill set, combining various roles will be considered! Drivers license necessary for Market Attendant Job. Compensation this position is : hourly, $20/hr + Application instructions
