Black Trumpet is a 15-year-old, 68-seat farm-to-table restaurant in historic downtown Portsmouth NH. Our menu changes frequently, in accordance with the seasons. Chef Evan is a six-time James Beard Best Chef Semifinalist, and the restaurant was a national Semifinalist in 2020 for the James Beard Best Hospitality Award. We are committed to offering the best food, drink and hospitality while also addressing the needs of our local food system as a whole. Job description
The Black Trumpet kitchen rarely hires full-time cooks. We are now seeking a prep and line cook who is motivated to learn and believes in our commitment to building a strong local food system one plate at a time. We offer a fun and educational work environment in a small, busy kitchen. Some experience on the line in kitchens is a must, but there is also room to grow into other positions down the road.
Compensation
this position is : hourly, $15-20/hr
