Time Frame: July 1, 2022- June 30, 2023
Hours and Compensation: 90-100k, experience dependent.
Full time 37.5 hours per week
230 work days
Goals: Support OUSD Nutrition Services to increase meal participation and quality by:
1. In coordination with OUSD Nutrition Services and the Brigaid assessment identify and create a mechanism to track progress for the Chefs on the Ground Support and Training during school year 22/23.
2. Develop a phase in plan for transitioning premade items to scratch cooked items for school year 22/23.
a. Elementary and Secondary cooking sites up to 20% scratch cooked menu items by the end of SY 22/23.
b. Satellites will receive up to 30% scratch cooked items from the Central Kitchen for SY 22/23.
3. Utilizing No Kid Hungry Center for Best Practices develop, test, implement and evaluate pre/ post staff attitude/ morale survey for SY 22/23. Pre survey will be implemented at the Back to School Meeting in August.
Additional activities will include:
● Maintain Menu Planning software and analyze menus for compliance.
● Maintain Meal Accommodations forms for special diets.
● Support recipe development with student taste testing and staff training.
● Support Universal Meals.
Experience with: The National School Lunch Program, Food Systems, Program Planning, and Evaluation.
Spanish and or Chinese speaking is preferred.
Compensation this position is : hourly, varies DOE, $52.00 - $57.00 Application instructions
