Job description

Director of Community Partners 

The Director of Community Partners (DCP) is responsible for developing strategic partnerships, managing grant contract relationships and providing leadership support within the TLD team. The ideal DCP candidate has strong communication skills, enjoys building authentic relationships and understands the importance of fiscal responsibility to sustain valuable, mission-oriented work. 

This staff member can live anywhere in Michigan.
 

The TLD Director of Community Partners is expected to:

  1. Co-lead and manage the Business Relationship Development Team with Marketing and Media Sales Manager, modeling vulnerability and transparency to support an inclusive and value-based team culture 
  2. Develop mutually beneficial partnerships with businesses, non-profits, government agencies and other strategic partners across the state 
  3. Generate revenue through partner grant contracts, marketing services, sponsored content and value chain coordination services
  4. Maintain consistent communication with funders, contractors and other partners
  5. Track and report on contract deliverables
  6. Fulfill requests for Letters of Support, as applicable, from community partners
  7. Attend appropriate networking events, conferences and meetings
  8. Assist partner in grant project design or narrative development, as applicable
  9. Collaborate with CEO on out-of-state licensing opportunities and development

 

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Experience in Local Food Systems, preferably Michigan
  2. Strength in building and maintaining authentic relationships
  3. Strong time management and organizational skills
  4. Quick learner
  5. Self directed and comfortable with remote based work
  6. Background in leadership and strength in developing team culture

Salary Range: $45,000-$60,000
