20G is a new cafe opening in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood serving specialty coffee/drinks and high quality food. Located above a popular supermarket, customers can get what they need all in one place. 

Job Description 

We’re looking for a barista (part-time and full-time positions available) that is passionate about really good coffee. This role will have the opportunity to learn more about specialty coffee and drink preparation.

Responsibilities include:

• Make consistently delicious espresso drinks, teas, and mixed drinks
• Create enjoyable customer interactions and positive experiences
• Comfortably navigate the Clover system
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, making sure everything is adhering to food safety guidelines
• Properly open or close according to procedures
• Must be able to work efficiently during high volume periods while keeping a friendly demeanor
• Must be able to take direction, be punctual and reliable, and work well in a small team

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista preferred, or experience in hospitality/food service
• Basic math skills
• Able to lift heavy objects 
• Able to remain standing/active for an extended period of time
• NY State Food Protection Certified (a plus but not required)
• Weekend availability preferred
