Job description

As Wholesale Sales Associate, you will nurture and grow our wholesale business. From high-touch relationships with grocery buyers to close communication with our Co-Founders, you help ensure that our buyers’ needs are met and their shelves are full. Customer Service is your middle name, and you impress our buyers with prompt, accurate, and thoughtful communication that make their job easier and their days run more smoothly.

The Wholesale Sales Associate will work directly with wholesale accounts to gather orders, increase velocity, and track sales. In addition, the Sales Associate will identify, approach, and pitch new wholesale accounts in our target sales regions. Our ideal candidate is a true people person who loves talking with people, listens well, and is happy to cold call buyers and new accounts. Past coworkers describe you as a thoughtful communicator who is enthusiastic about striking up conversations with new people, and who has great organizational skills. This position reports directly to the Co-Founder of the company.

The Wholesale Sales Associate will:

  • Oversee order placement and general sales
    • Have frequent calls, emails, and texts with buyers
    • Help buyers with orders, questions and concerns
    • Create invoices in QuickBooks
    • Oversee orders and communications on Faire
    • Report quality feedback and buyer concerns to Co-Founder
    • Create and maintain Weekly Order Sheets
  • Increase velocity in existing accounts
    • Coordinate promotions and demos (future)
    • Work with our Marketing team to support in-store sales
    • Support Marketing team with requested data including an up-to-date store locator map and list
    • Nurture buyer relationships to learn how we can best serve our customers
  • Grow wholesale account portfolio
    • Identify potential wholesale accounts and review with Co-Founder
    • Finetune and implement sales script and protocol for pitching new accounts
    • Reach out to leads and follow up as needed in existing regions and in target regions
    • Onboard new accounts
  • Manage wholesale account paperwork and records
    • Record and track sales pipeline in HubSpot
    • Track sales KPIs
    • Manage price changes and other store-specific documents
    • Track sales performance next to sales projections;
  • Other related duties as assigned

Basic Requirements:

  • Ability to work remotely
  • Access to reliable internet
  • At least 2 years working experience with Google and Microsoft Suites
  • At least 1 year Sales or Customer Service experience 
  • Phone that can be reliably used for work

Extra Credit:

  • Curiosity about food, health, and nutrition 
  • Previous experience at a food business
  • Fluency with QuickBooks Online or HubSpot           

This is a 100% remote, part-time hourly non-exempt position. 24 hours per week. 40 hrs. paid sick leave per year.
