The Table Catering offers made from scratch weekly meal subscriptions and caters community events, serving primarily Berkeley and Oakland. We are equally passionate about personalized service and high quality food. Owned and operated by a husband and wife team, we have over 20 years of experience in culinary and hospitality.
Chef Peter sources local, organic and seasonal ingredients, practices whole animal butchery and bakes organic whole wheat bread in house. Owner Nicole leads with personalized service and building partnerships. We believe in access to nutritious meals, real food, environmentally sustainable practices and community based relationships.
Job descriptionWe are expanding and adding to our small, but mighty, team and are looking for a Part Time Administrative & Marketing Assistant who can provide administrative and marketing culinary support, maximize our social media presence, and assist with written communication tailored to our audience. Past experience as an Administrative Assistant is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in an administrative role (1-5 years)
- Interest and passion for written communication and/or marketing
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- The skills to contribute written content for menu descriptions, based on Chef’s recipes
- An interest in supporting video and photography efforts
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively
- Computer proficiency (or open to learning): Google Suite and related online platforms, Slack, Canva, Mailchimp, IG, FB, etc.
- The ability to welcome and receive feedback
- Initiative: a systems driven self starter and lifelong learner
- Passion for real, locally sourced food and its origins
Compensation this position is : hourly, $20/hr + Application instructions
