Semolina Artisanal Pasta is a woman owned and operated boutique maker of fresh and dried pasta sold at grocery stores including Whole Foods and Bristol Farms, boutique markets, our own retail shop, and served at some of the city’s best restaurants, like Hippo in Highland Park, Yang’s Kitchen in Alhambra and Pizzeria Bianco in DTLA. Job descriptionOperations Coordinator
We are looking for an operations coordinator to work directly with the founder and production team to create systems to manage all aspects of inventory and supply chain to scale up our manufacturing, fulfillment, demand and supply planning. This person will be principle of upholding our company values and building relationships with vendors and the production team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Manage ordering of office and production supplies and materials, creating systems to streamline the process and maintaining sufficient operating stock (weekly inventory)
- Manage receiving of office and production supplies according to SOPs and GMPs
- Own inventory tracking for all pasta products, conducting monthly inventory of product on On Hand, and ensuring FIFO is being practiced
- Support annual organic audit and other third party audits as needed
- Create and maintain a retains library
- Use forklift and other warehouse machinery
- Facilitate transport of supplies and product between warehouse and production kitchen
- Routine cleaning and maintenance
Manage B2B and DTC fulfillment

- Sales order entry
- New customer set up
- Pick, pack and stage orders
- Track all order fulfillment in appropriate software for channel (SOS, Shopify)
- Follow FIFO
- Coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing freight
Production
- Keep production logs and built up-to-date in our inventory management software (SOS)
- Implement demand planning and work with production team to create a weekly production schedule
- Support packing team when needed
Skills and Qualifications
- 0-2 years working in operations for a CPG brand
- Creative problem solver
- Patient and tenacious
- A clear and direct communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Love creating and implementing systems
- Familiarity with food production QC, SSOPs and GMPs and an ability to uphold quality standards
- Organized and reliable
- Strong collaborator
- Experience forecasting supply/demand, managing inventory and supporting budgeting process
- Ability to lift overhead, move up to 50# at a time, climb ladders, bend, stoop and kneel freely.
- Current forklift certification a plus
