Saba Grocers operate a produce distribution center in Oakland’s Produce Terminal in Jack London. We procure, package, deliver and price produce to corner stores 1-3 times a week. Saba is a mission driven organization with the goal of increasing fresh produce sales in corner stores.
What does Saba Customer Service Representative (CSR) Do?
Customer service Representatives (CSR) mostly serve corner stores in Oakland, and support our distribution center operations. Customer service duties include taking customer orders, answering questions, processing refunds, updating price lists, and maintaining produce fridges in corner stores. Warehouse duties include preparing and packaging produce orders.
What Traits are Saba Grocers Looking for in Team Members?
Saba looks to hire energetic, driven, and friendly associates into Customer Service positions. Team members should possess strong communication and problem solving skills. Additionally, team members must follow all health and safety rules outlined by Saba Grocers. Arabic speaking skills are preferred. Customer Representatives must be able to drive. Mileage is reimbursed per Federal rate.
Salary and CompensationHow Much Do They Get Paid? A CSR team member starts out earning ~$24/hr. Experienced team members may make up to about ~$27/hr. The annual salary for a team member ranges from about $50,000 to $56,000 a year.
