The Little School at Duke is currently accepting applications for a Sous Chef/Line Cook for a three person food service. At The Little School, we believe children deserve fresh, whole, locally sourced and innovative meals. The Chefs at The Little School think big, serving up unique and varied meals such as Roasted Chicken with Za'atar and Mint Dry Rub, and Guajillo-Lime Chicken Salad with Crispy Bacon and Avocado Mayo. We connect our students to a larger eco community by sourcing local farms for the freshest seasonal ingredients. Chefs at our school will thrive if they enjoy teaching adults and young children about the food being served. We are aware that early childhood is a critical time period for influencing healthy eating habits and we seek candidates who share this view. Versatility in our kitchen is required - our chefs wear many hats.

This candidate must have:

-Past line cook experienced

-Excellent Knife Skills

-Positive attitude

-Enjoys working around and with children

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.440/year
