Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the Executive Chef in scheduling, organizing, and monitoring BOH labor and productivity across multiple prep and event kitchens, including on- and off-site catering
- Supporting the Executive Chef in creating and managing daily, weekly, and monthly food production calendars to ensure timely preparation and execution of events and drop-off catering orders
- Supporting the Executive Chef with inventory maintenance and ordering of all food, smallwares, and kitchen equipment
- Working as part of a management team to develop and implement people operations systems
- Participating in regularly scheduled meetings regarding the overall strategy and success of the business, including quarterly financials meetings and HR trainings
- Working with the Executive Chef to establish and achieve clear individual performance goals
While performing the duties of the job, a Sous Chef is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. They must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
