We are seeking an individual with a passion for food: growing, cooking, & sharing. You will work alongside our farm store manager, retail staff, and farm crew to create a warm, welcoming environment, and high quality shopping experience for our customers. You must be willing and able to work independently, have a good attitude, an eye for quality, and be ready to interact with customers in a friendly, outgoing manner.

This job requires some heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) and repetitive movements such as: standing, reaching, bending.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include: 

• Opening the store: stocking produce, organizing shelves, stocking fridge/freezer as needed. Some light vegetable prep/cleaning is often required to keep the shelves looking fresh.

• Running the store: staffing the register, bagging groceries. Restocking, keeping the store looking neat and shelves piled high. Answering customer questions, giving guidance on vegetable prep/storage. General maintenance of store “ambiance.”

• Closing the store: putting away fresh fruit & produce, including: soaking, trimming, and cleaning. Composting vegetable scraps. Counting & consolidating cash register. General end of the day tidying: restocking bags, stocking depleted fridge/shelf stock, sweeping, etc.  

• Miscellaneous Tasks, varying by day/season: receiving deliveries, organizing walk-in, taking inventory, prepping fruit/vegetables for sale, watering vegetable starts, cutting flowers from the garden & arranging bouquets, general cleaning tasks: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, etc.
