Job Title: Sales Agronomy Consultant  

(Produce & Grain)  

Seeking principled professionals with a strong commitment to regenerative ag principles, a passion for learning, and the desire to assist growers through honesty, education, and inspiration. Sales Agronomist must be aligned with our mission of removing barriers to enable and encourage adoption of regenerative and organic practices in the South East. Be a friend to the grower and recommend what is right. 

Location: Alabama 
 
Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000 
 
Commission / Bonus: Performance-Based Bonus 
 
Benefits: 401(k) + Company Vehicle provided + Computer + Health Ins. After 90 days + 1 week Paid Vacation + Travel Expenses 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
- Agricultural background preferred 

- Experience in crop nutrition, and/or plant and soil sciences 
- Degree in relevant position preferred; but not required 
- Minimum 2 years proven Agronomy or Sales experience 
- Working knowledge of both organic and conventional production and crop inputs 
- Previous Ag Sales preferred but not required - Employer will train 
- Customer-success focused with the ability to work directly with growers 

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
- Experience with Precision Ag, foliar spray, and irrigation systems beneficial 
- Computer proficient and highly organized in digital medias 
- Currently residing in Alabama or looking to relocate to this area 
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions 
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate some agricultural and loading equipment

JOB DESCRIPTION: 
 The Sales Agronomy Consultant will work directly with numerous growers in Alabama and the South East, as part of a team of consultants, scouts, and administrators to deliver the best possible information and customer experience. They will take a personal approach to each client's agronomic needs, addressing everything from crop rotation and seed choice, to data management, sap and soil analysis, fertility recommendations, equipment setup, and marketing suggestions.  

This role will build new client relationships and grow existing ones. Most customers will be on the path towards organic transition and may grow a wide variety of crops including commodities, specialty grains, and produce. Development of seasonal fertility management plans and leading the sales process to ensure timely delivery of materials is the core of the role. Consultant will assist with plant and soil sampling, field scouting, delivery of materials to growers, and other operational directives, as needed. Individuals must be willing to travel regionally and work extended seasonal hours in all weather. Occasional travel for conferences, education and networking events will be required. 

 

Compensation Plan to include: 
- Base Salary of $55-75K, depending on experience
