Honeycomb Creamery is a small-batch and locally sourced ice cream shop in Cambridge, MA. We are a rapidly growing business with a high-energy atmosphere. We are looking for at least 1 hardworking, energetic, and positive individual to assist with managing the day-to-day front of house operations!
Position Available: Full-Time
Shifts: Flexible; 8 hours/day, 5 days/week with a minimum of 1 weekend day; Scheduled On Call shifts
Responsibilities:
* Managing front of house operations
* Scooping ice cream, building sundaes, packing pints, making waffle cones, and preparing our menu items quickly and efficiently
* Actively engaging with kitchen and retail staff to ensure that items are being prepared efficiently and properly
* Engaging with customers and answering their questions
* Working with our register and POS system (Square)
* Supporting retail staff in their work - correcting any issues, assisting with long lines, encouraging employees
* Delegating tasks to employees
* Assisting the training of new employees
* Communicating retail needs to kitchen staff and management
* Managing inventory of paper goods
* Managing deliveries for retail
* Making product to sell for retail, such as waffle cones, sprinkles, and other toppings
* Being a vocal part of the management team to improve current methods
* Maintaining a calm and composed demeanor regardless of what is happening in the shop
* Follow all health code regulations and maintain a clean and organized retail space
* Be able to lift at least 50lbs
**ServSafe and Allergen Certification required, but will be paid for if you don't already have it!**
Starting Pay: $19/hr ($25+ after tips)
