Company description Our unique space fruitsuper x Foundry Vineyards opened in Fall 2019 in the Historic District of Pioneer Square.  Our space hosts a contemporary design shop with over 140+ independent designers, makers, and artists curated by fruitsuper and acts as the Seattle base for Foundry Vineyards’ wine bar featuring organic still and sparkling wines. The desire for true quality and deep love for art and our creative community sets us apart. The Shop Manager sets the bar for our high level of customer service and hospitality, and is the face of Foundry Vineyards and fruitsuper in Seattle. Duties include: maintaining the facility and ensuring that the standards of cleanliness and organization are always met; scheduling and managing staff; managing public, private and offsite events; overseeing inventory (in store and online); ordering supplies (for facility maintenance and shop requirements like bags, stickers and postcards); order fulfillment; oversee merchandising and ensure that the shelves are stocked and product is priced; general order fulfillment; marketing and promoting the shop and its events;  and any additional administrative tasks that arise. 

We are a small but mighty team of passionate creators who rely on each other to make sure things get done, and we all must be flexible. There is nothing more important to our team than dedication to exceptional customer service, and going the extra mile for co-workers and guests alike.

What we’re looking for: 
  • Prior retail, restaurant or customer service experience is a plus but not required. For the right person, we’re more than happy to teach. 
  • Prior management experience is a plus. You will be the main supervisor for part-time employees. It will be your job to instill the values and goals of the business to our part time team. A successful candidate will be able to listen, interpret, and execute the owner’s requests and goals. As well as create ways to touch base with the entire team for feedback and modifications as needed.
  • A confident communicator, with a passion for organization and collaboration, and a dedication to the success of small businesses.
  • Eye for detail – you’re observant and understand that the little details make the difference: the warmth of a greeting, the table settings, or the organization of a shelf can all affect how a customer feels about the business and their experience.
  • Comfort with ambiguity while taking the initiativeyou love making things happen!
  • A passion for creating connections with different kinds of people and an affinity for making folks feel right at home.
  • A self-starter mentality with an interest in learning about wine and design on and off the clock.
  • Collaborative spirit and commitment to Foundry Vineyards and fruitsuper’s missions – you’re a team player and willing to lend a hand or elevate those around you. You add your own individuality to an already positive and uplifting work environment. A good sense of humor doesn’t hurt either. 
  • Adaptability and flexibility – you recognize that in small businesses things happen- and you’re able to calmly troubleshoot issues. 
Compensation + Benefits: 
  • $28 per hour plus tips and wine club commissions
  • Employer provided 100% healthcare, vision and dental insurance after 60 days.
  • Mileage reimbursement when traveling offsite

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Must be able to effectively stock wine and non-wine merchandise, set-up and break down structures, tables, etc., and be able to utilize a dolly cart and other equipment to assist in moving heavy objects.
  • Have access to transportation. Some wine delivery is required.
Other Requirements
  • MAST Alcohol Server’s Permit (can be obtained within 60 days of starting job)
  • WA State Food Handler’s Card
  • Driver’s License
