Company description Fat Sheep Farm & Cabins offers tourists a unique lodging opportunity to explore central Vermont and New Hampshire, and is ideally situated to explore Woodstock, Quechee, and Hanover, NH.  Fat Sheep Farm is a small-scale working farm that sells produce, eggs, and sheep's milk cheese to local restaurants and our cabin guests.  Guests stay in a private cabin fully equipped with kitchen and bath, and enjoy incredible views of our growing field and the surrounding forested hillsides.  The views, sunsets, sunrises and stars cannot be beat.  Opened in June of 2017, it was selected as Vermont's best farm stay by Yankee Magazine and has been featured in the Boston Globe travel section, Outside Magazine, Food & Wine, and many other publications.  We offer guests an opportunity to milk our sheep, take the animals to pasture, collect eggs from our chickens, and tour the fields where we grow most of our own food.  We also separately offer sourdough bread workshops and cheese-making workshops when time permits. We use our firepit regularly throughout the summer to soak in the night sky and give our guests a chance to meet us and each other. Job description Fat Sheep Farm is hiring for farm help for the first time in two years.  This is a unique position.   In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn everything we do on the farm, including growing vegetables, maintaining our farm stand, milking sheep, helping with lambing season, providing educational experiences to our rental cabin guests, and making cheese.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to learn all aspects of an agritourism business, wants to live in a beautiful place and is willing to work hard.  There are a couple of other people who work and live on the property and we enjoy having a friendly relationships with everyone.  It's an "all in the family" approach to the workplace.  Everyone has their privacy but it is not uncommon that we would head out together to listen to some music or celebrate a birthday.
