Program Assistant Tasks:
Program
- Keep track of all promotional material inventory; order as needed
- Manage the AWA egg carton program, including inventory, shipments, and payments
- Update database and website content
- Put together and ship all packages to farmers, staff, and volunteers
- Manage AWA’s main office including handling repairs, scanning mail, handling UPS shipping services, and taking the lead on trash and recycling
- Track and purchase office supplies
- Review staff expense reports
- Liaise with office manager for writing checks, sending receipts, other duties as necessary
- Handle other administrative needs as necessary (mailings, conference registrations, membership renewals, etc.) for off-site staff
- Program Assistant should have a bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience. Candidate would ideally have an interest in farm animal welfare, sustainable agriculture, or food policy
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and writing skills
- Must be able and motivated to work independently
- Must be capable of lifting 40+ lbs.
