The farm at Mineral Springs Ranch cultivates fine, seasonal vegetables, fruits, and flowers, much of which find their way through the deft hands of on-site chefs, to the table of our valued guests. The certified Organic and Biodynamic farm is approximately two acres of highly diversified crops grown on the fertile bottom land beneath our highly acclaimed vineyards and winery. We expect the highest level of service and effort from our staff to create the best guest experience possible.
As a Farm Hand you will primarily help cultivate the vegetable and flower crops at Mineral Springs Ranch. This position is highly focused on cultivating the best quality produce for our guests. Self-motivation, ability to work in a diverse set of weather conditions, and a keen interest in plants is vital to success. The Farm Hand will work with the Farm Lead and Vineyard Manager to create crop plans, coordinate field work and labor, and delivery product to the tasting room kitchen.
Direct duties include but are not limited to:
- Planning and working in resident garden, growing vegetables and flowers of high quality
- Work cooperatively with other ranch staff to complete field work and harvest product
- Some light maintenance of buildings and equipment
Job Requirements
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills, along with a sense of humor
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable working with and in vicinity of farm animals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish is a bonus
- Must be able to work outside in temperatures between 30 and 95 degrees.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
