Husky Meadows Farm is a production-focused, certified organic, diversified crop farm. We cultivate a vibrant, farm-scape using regenerative farming practices on a beautiful property surrounded by 300 acres of forest. We operate a 2-acre market garden and mushroom growing yard with a small flock of chickens, an orchard and an apiary. We grow for our CSA, farm stand market and kitchen. Our Seed & Spoon kitchen creates and sells prepared foods and hosts workshops, educational events and farm stays.
Husky Meadows is looking for a farm crew member to round out our 2023 team. We are a 2-acre diverse vegetable farm nestled among hills and forest in Norfolk, CT. We grow nutrient dense, beautiful produce that we sell directly to CSA members at our farmstand. Along with veggies, we sell berries, flowers, mushrooms, honey, eggs and prepared foods from our kitchen.
We are essentially a human-scale no-till market garden. We have two hoop houses and a cold room. We are acquiring a utility tractor this season, not for cultivation but for projects around the farm, including compost making.
Our season runs from March through October. Our schedule is mostly Tuesday – Saturday from 7 to 4. We will have a team of three or four people including the head farmer, Brett.
While farm experience is not required it is a plus. We welcome those that have a strong intrerest in organic vegetable produciton.
