Harvest/Field Hand:  Assist with harvest, washing and packing vegetables.  Perform some field work like hoeing, planting, and trellising. 

 

About Little Wings Farm: Our farm grows about 7 acres+ of Certified Organic produce, berries and flowers. We sell our produce to our Cropshare Program of 170 members, Restaurants, Stores and U-pick. We believe in high quality food grown with consideration of our soil, native insects and overall environment. We love working with a crew of positive minded, hard working people. 

 

About the Position: We are seeking a motivated, high spirited, positive, hardworking person who loves growing and eating a wide variety of produce. They should have a basic understanding of vegetable crops and have a familiarity with them. Although formal farm experience is not required, it is preferred.  

 

Season/Hrs: This is approximately a 5-6 month position working 2-3 days a week (Monday and Thursday are required, the third day can be scheduled during the season depending on availability). Starting in Mid May and ending at the end of October. It is 16-24 hrs/week.  We make it a priority to keep the work day to 8 hours so that our team is fresh, rested and ready to go the next day. We have a 45 minute unpaid lunch in the middle of our workday and 2 ten minute paid breaks. Our start and end times will shift with the heat of the summer.  In the cooler months we will typically work 8 am - 4:45 pm. In the heat of Summer we will work 6 am - 2:45 pm. 

 

Pay Rate: Starting at $15/hr-$17.00 + DOE in addition to farm produce.
