The East End restaurant is hiring line cooks!
The right candidate works well with a small, close-knit team, has the desire to cook seasonally, with local produce, and is dedicated to bettering their skills and understanding of from-scratch cooking.
Prior cooking experience is helpful but not completely necessary, so long as there is a readiness to learn and work towards goals.

You must be able to: show up consistently and on time, wear appropriate non-slip footwear & professional clothing, have the endurance to work an 8-10hr shift, be able to lift 25-50lbs, work clean & diligently and maintain standards of food quality & safety.
Duties include:· preparation and execution of recipes and menu dishes: making sauces, stocks, soups, vegetable/fish/meat butchery and portioning, fresh pasta making and cooking, dessert and ice cream/sorbet preparation, pickling and preserving· sourcing fresh and local ingredients from small independent farmers and producers· developing specials and new menu dishes· kitchen cleaning and equipment maintenance: sweeping and mopping floors, scrubbing and polishing surfaces, cleaning and sanitizing refrigerators and freezers, composting and trash removal, fryer cleaning and dirty oil removal, oven, grill and range cleaning, hood vent cleaning

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
