The Tin Building by Jean-Georges features multiple unique venues: Several full-service restaurants, fast casual and counter dining outlets as well as 10,000 sf of retail featuring private label products, grab and go, grocery and CPGs. To support this significant operation the Marketplace will feature a large commissary kitchen and bakery, as well as an exhibition kitchen that will provide media opportunities.

Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
You will execute the procurement strategy for the Tin Building by Jean-Georges. You will analyze sell-through and forecast demand based on team feedback, seasonal events, etc., for the day-to-day procurement of products for the Retail and F&B operations at the Tin Building. You will collaborate closely with the Retail Managers and Chefs on the F&B side for all procurement needs and place orders following negotiated vendor agreements, approved pricing, and defined product specification. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding vendor relationships, ensuring the best quality product is procured.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute the placement of orders on behalf of Retail and Food & Beverage operations.
Manage the procurement systems and processes to maximize opportunities for cost saving, price comparison, vendor negotiations, comparative analysis.
Responsible for all food ordering, achieving set COGS targets.
Maintain organized records of all reports, PO’s and other vendor communications.
Maintain vendor records, costs, lead-time, etc. in Crunch Time.
Conduct audits to determine inventory PAR levels.
Assure daily yield tests of all high-volume food products.
Reconcile delivery shortages and overages with vendors.
Support accounting with reconciling invoice discrepancies.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. 
 
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Minimum 3+ years of demonstrated success in a retail or F&B procurement role. Ideally, in a high-end environment.
Must have Food Protection Certificate.
Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats (e. g., small print).
Attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Research and analytical skills.
Proficient in the following dimensions/functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, company policies and procedures, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
Demonstrated success in executing purchasing programs, management of inventory, and storage area maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to plan purchasing and inventory PAR levels.
Extensive familiarity with local and regional vendors and product distributors.
Enter and locate work-related information using computers and point of sale.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Technical and software experience with purchasing/inventory systems required (preferably Crunch Time).
Proficient in Microsoft 365: Excel, Word, Outlook.
Possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Self-disciplined, shows initiative and should have excellent leadership qualities.
Must be passionate, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to success.
Passion for Fine Food products.
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays, as required. 
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. 
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the store.  Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. 
 Climbing steps regularly.  
 
The base pay range for this position is between $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per annum. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
