Job description
On our journey to make a positive impact, we are seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Philanthropy/Development Team Member. This is an exciting opportunity to grow with us and make a difference in the community. The post specifies; near the Denver, CO area, however we flexible for the right candidate.
Philanthropy/Development Team Member - assumes a crucial role in creating, implementing, and overseeing fundraising endeavors. who wants to learn about fundraising and is good at talking to people and making connections. As a young organization, CHOW is establishing this role within its organizational structure. CHOW currently possesses a comprehensive contact database containing donors and prospects and plans to implement a donor tracking/CRM system within the next 12 months.
Responsibilities:
- Create fundraising strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Research and identify potential funding sources, individual contributions, and corporate partnerships.
- Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and stakeholders to secure financial support.
- Craft compelling fundraising appeals that articulate the organization's mission and impact.
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns and events, overseeing planning, logistics, and promotion.
- Assess and adjust fundraising initiatives for optimal effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of donations and fundraising activities, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to develop and implement fundraising strategies supporting organizational goals.
- Grant research and writing may also be part of duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, communications, nonprofit management). Or equivalent experience.
- 2 years experience in the food/beverage/hospitality industry
- Ability to work autonomously AND collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in relationship-building with donors and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Dedication to the organization's mission and objectives.

Compensation
