Lucky Crow Farm grows vegetables on a combined three acres of rural farmland and urban farm space. We have a 75-member CSA, two farmers’ markets (Corvallis and Independence), produce for our local food bank, work with restaurants/vineyards, and operate an online store. Our farm crew is small, works closely with each other, and is focused on learning and improving our skills. We strive to communicate clearly so that expectations are both known and achievable. We love the work we do in the field and eating the food we produce.

Position Period: April through October

Job Summary
We are hiring full-time and part-time, hourly positions to start in early April and end in late October 2024. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, detail oriented and fast learners. An ideal candidate enjoys working alone and in partnership or group settings. The work is mostly physical, but requires a sharp mind, good judgment and a great sense of humor. Folks with prior farm experience are encouraged to apply, but we will also consider qualified candidates looking to learn. Living situation not provided.
Responsibilities
- Work will include, but not be limited to, harvest, wash/pack, cultivation, transplanting, greenhouse propagation, bed preparation, fertility work, irrigation, composting, light construction, mowing/weed eating and landscaping.
- Work may include deliveries and occasional driving off-farm. Ability to drive manual transmission is a plus and willingness to learn is essential.
- Farmers’ market set-up, vending, pack-up.
- Machine operation (tiller, vehicles, lawn mower, weed eater).
Minimum Qualifications
- Detail-oriented and fast learner
- Self-motivated and able to streamline workflow
- Ability to work efficiently alone or in a group
- Experienced/licensed driver
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and willingness to work with a diverse group of people
- Ability to keep clear, handwritten and electronic records
- Positive attitude in all types of weather
- Commitment to work the entire season (with potential for vacation time)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of prior farm work
- Strong love of food, nutrition and healthy local economies
- Basic mechanics
