The Scribe Viticultural Society provides members with firsthand access to the growing and making of wine, to the ongoing revival of the Scribe Estate and to a celebratory community to share in the enjoyment of Scribe wines.

Job description

We strongly value the relationship we have forged with our members. As such, the SVS Communications Associate will play a pivotal role in the full scope of the SVS member experience by providing consistent, warm and personalized hospitality to all members and visitors via phone, email and in-person communications.

Primary daily responsibilities include:
 

  • Email Communication: follow the model of Scribe’s warm and approachable style of written communication to engage with our members, prospective guests and general inquiries. Respond to all emails in a timely manner, and pass along relevant details or make introductions to the correct members of the Scribe team.
     
  • Phones: manage all voicemails, as well as the influx of incoming calls, follow-up with customers or members as needed. Develop an enthusiastic way to speak about Scribe wine and the farm experience with our members and guests.
     
  • Reservations: serve as the primary representative for all member reservations on the farm. Engage with members and guests over the phone and via email to communicate the reservation experiences offered, manage all bookings in Tock, monitor and process cancelations in Tock and Wine Direct, manage communication to members and guests on the waitlist, develop a knowledge of the blueprint of each location and be able to make determinations about reservation availability and special exceptions.
     
  • Member Account Management: be able to assist members with details pertaining to their accounts, such as address and shipping updates, wine preferences, special outreach projects, etc. Develop a thorough understanding of Wine Direct in order to best serve the goals of both Scribe and the member, and communicate internally with our shipping and hospitality teams as needed.
     

The role is set for Wednesday - Sunday, and is in-person. 

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
