Our cafe is a hidden gem, just off of Cheshire Bridge Rd, in Atlanta, GA. The cafe is inspired South African-Jewish foods. We serve specialty coffee, brekkie (breakfast), brunch, lunch, cocktails and natural wines daily.Daily Chew expands beyond the cafe. We create simple, seasonal, and nourishing experiences through our catering, events, and farmer's markets.
Job description
- Assist and lead the preparation of all food menus
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in an efficient manner at all times
- Access, refer to, and communicate with Team via Google Docs accounts.
- Communicate daily through Slack.
- Direct and participate in the planning and execution of all food preparation
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and manage crisis with calm and collected manner
- Support Head Chef in managing and training kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance.
- Supporting Chef in completing proper inventory management and order guide processes
- Comply with and manage sanitation regulations and food safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with staff and guests
- Foster an educational environment that ensures all culinary staff are developed for future advancement.
- Ensure the tasks and duties necessary to open, prepare and close the kitchen responsibly and safely are consistently executed by the culinary team.
- Aggressively monitor labor, scheduling, and overtime to ensure maximum productivity + profit.
- Ensure accurate ordering, receiving, product dating, product rotation, invoice processing and period-end inventory of product and supplies necessary to conduct smooth culinary operations.
- Play a key role in hiring and training.

Compensation
this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $45,000.00 - $60,000.00Work visa
