Campbell & Co. is a sister-run neighborhood café, catering company, grocery, & cheese shop. We pack as much good stuff as we can into 700 sq. ft. We believe in the power of good food and in sharing it with others. Our retail focus is on locally-sourced and well-made goods—items that celebrate our community of NYC producers and upstate NY farmers: Fine & Raw chocolates, White Moustache yogurts, East Hollow ciders, and Queen Majesty hot sauces to name a few. Our cheese case features dozens of carefully-curated cheeses, and our beer and cider selection is just as large, with a unique complement of primarily local brews.
And the Campbell & Co. kitchen and catering program utilizes the best ingredients from the season to create sandwiches, salads, breakfast biscuits, cheese boards, desserts, and more. Over the years we’ve worked hard to earn a devoted following and are known as much for our warm and friendly customer service as our products (our breakfast biscuits are legendary!).
Our catering program is growing daily, providing seasonal spreads for corporate lunches, private celebrations, and production shoots for photo and film.
Job description
Campbell & Co., a sister-run neighborhood café and grocery with outposts in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, is looking for a highly organized, friendly and self-motivated individual to support our catering operations. As Catering Admin Lead, you will partner with our management team to execute daily drop-offs and seasonal event spreads with a focus on hospitality and quality. This full-time role demands early morning flexibility, and includes varied responsibilities such as admin tasks, event planning and order packouts. It is the perfect opportunity for someone enthusiastic about being part of an entrepreneurial, small Brooklyn business.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
-Prepping paper goods, menus, coffee services, etc. for daily drop-off catering
-Packing up Drop-Off Catering orders and handing them off to drivers
-Assisting with Event load outs
-As needed, help deliver drop-off catering in a car service
-Assist with pre-production and post-production of events
-Possibility to work on-site at events for additional hours
-Work with mgmt and owners to improve upon current catering systems
-Retail hours in the morning as cashier, when needed
REQUIREMENTS
-Requires a Monday–Friday schedule, morning flexibility is essential (could start as early as 6am) to adapt to varying catering needs.
-A self-driven, detail-oriented person who is highly organized and self-motivated.
-Friendly and kind with a positive, upbeat attitude and a calm head under pressure.
-Dedicated to hospitality and customer service.
-Enthusiastic about being a part of something new and entrepreneurial.
-Enjoys working in a team environment with an "all hands on deck" approach.
-Passionate about local and seasonal food.
-Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced food environment and problem solve on-the-fly.
-Must possess mature, professional demeanor to interact with vendors, staff and guests.
COMPENSATION
hourly: $23+ depending on experience
