This position handles all core administrative HR and office management tasks for the company. You will work directly with the HR & Communications Director, CFO and other lead staff for Diner, Marlow & Sons, Marlow & Daughters, Achilles Heel, Roman's, She Wolf Bakery, Diner Journal and Marlow Goods. The office team's goal is to support all employees and provide a high level of hospitality to our farmers, vendors and guests. Qualifications:

  • 1 Year of HR Experience or relevant training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work efficiently, multi-task, and prioritize numerous activities at once
  • High level of organization, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive, ready to work independently and seek out tasks
  • Friendly demeanor and positive attitude
  • A high level of discretion with confidential and sensitive personal information
  • Interest in working for our dynamic, value-driven company
  • A love of hospitality is a plus!


Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and complete paperwork for hires, terminations, rate changes, leaves, benefits, etc.
  • Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of all HR related documents including W-4s, I-9s, etc.
  • Compile, organize and enter payroll on a weekly basis for approximately 150 employees
  • Manage benefits enrollment year round, including Health, Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, and Transit benefits
  • Assist in vetting yearly group health insurance plans
  • Communicate with staff at all levels regarding payroll, personnel, and benefits issues
  • Manage Worker’s Compensation, Disability, and Unemployment claims
  • Ensure company compliance with labor and other human resources related laws
  • General office management tasks, including supply maintenance, office organization, and basic tech support.
