Haven’s Kitchen is hiring a full time events sales associate and coordination manager, whose key responsibility is to support the Events Director. Projects include: client management; logistical and organizational planning; and follow up. Her/his responsibilities will also include support for the marketing of Haven's Kitchen’s events.
This is a salaried position based on experience, including commission, health benefits, and paid vacation. Beginning schedule is Monday - Friday from 10AM - 7PM, with flexibility to work nights and weekends with notice. This position reports directly to the Events Director.
What we're looking for:

2-4 years experience in event sales and coordination at event spaces, restaurants, and/or catering companies

Candidates must have off-site catering experience

A proven history of driving measurable results (event sales)

A strong attention to detail, and an affinity for client communication and marketing

Industry knowledge and a basic understanding of financial/accounting practices related to food, beverage, and labor costs

Strong computer skills (Apple, Google, Dropbox, MS Office including Word and Excel)

Managing the sale and coordination of events assigned by Events Director from an initial event inquiry through execution

Acting as the primary link between events clients and HK team members, as well among HK departments

Creating event related documents such as contracts, BEOs, Invoices, P&L sheets, menus and floor plans

Recording final payments, and submitting invoices and bills to clients and vendors

Assisting Events Director with active and targeted outreach to secure new business

Following-up with clients for feedback and maintaining HK strong return rate

Coordinating pre-event site visits and menu tastings with the clients

Leading weekly BEO meetings and creating BEO packets for FOH and BOH teams

Producing and distributing weekly Confirmed Event Report to Service & Culinary teams

Updating templates and event booking system with up-to-date offerings and seasonal menus

Finalizing all event details including menu, beverage, event setup, and details

Occasional attendance at events upon request of the Event or Service Director

Coordinating and budgeting all additional components required for an offsite event including rental orders, permit filing (SLA/CO/TPA), COIs, vendor orders, and transportation

Possessing an understanding of Haven’s Kitchen’s mission and goals as a whole, beyond events and his/her daily responsibilities, including food, beverage, cafe, and cooking school offerings
