The Kitchen at Sterling College is looking for cooks to contribute to its well-recognized sustainable food and dining services.

The best candidates will be able to work cleanly and efficiently, cook and bake from scratch, follow menus and recipes, and also improvise on occasion. Most important is a love of cooking and an appreciation for working with fresh ingredients.

The ability to cook with, guide and teach student workers is a crucial skill.

Other important qualities include strong communication and ability to work cordially and professionally with the kitchen team, students, faculty and staff. Also important is the ability to occasionally work independently.

This is an hourly position with an anticipated full time schedule during regular academic sessions.

At least 2 years of cooking experience is required.
