Company description Cooper’s Hill Public House is a concept that embraces and engages the Peterborough community in a new and special way. Customers will find Cooper’s Hill open 7 days a week, providing brunch on weekends and dinner all week long. Our customers will also find a large selection of craft brews, a full service bar, and Irish-themed pub fare.

However, what really sets Cooper’s Hill apart from the competition is our special focus all things whiskey. With its rich history, legends, and folklore, whiskey's recent global resurgence comes at an ideal time for Cooper’s Hill Public House. We will specialize in whiskey cocktails, both classic and cutting-edge, while carrying some of the most highly acclaimed whiskeys available today. We’ll also regularly host special whiskey tastings and educational events. Our food menu too will be designed with whiskey in mind. Many of our specialty cocktails, and high-quality whiskey spirits will pair beautifully with our Irish inspired menu.

On any given night patrons will find local musicians playing soothing acoustical music while taking requests and interacting with the audience. In addition, Cooper’s Hill Public House will organize special events such as Monday Night Football, Sunday Morning English Premier League (EPL) Football, community benefits, and musical events throughout the year. Job description Head Chef wanted for a new bar/restaurant opening in Peterborough New Hampshire. Our Head Chef will be responsible for helping us develop our Irish-inspired menu, and to manage the daily operations of our brand new kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to showcase his/her culinary talents, while working in a fun startup environment.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develop recipes with a special focus on organic and locally sourced ingredients
• Work with owners to develop and price our dinner, brunch and bar menus
• Work with owners to hire, train, and manage kitchen personnel
• Work with owners to develop standard kitchen operating procedures
• Maintain kitchen supplies, equipment and work areas
• Maintain the highest level of kitchen sanitation and food safety

Job requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a professional kitchen
• Must have current Food Handlers Certificate (Food Safety Manager Certification preferred)
• High school diploma/GED required (Culinary arts or 4-year college degree preferred)
• Strong understanding of food costs and inventory control
• Willingness to work in a startup environment
