There will be organized educational opportunities both on-farm and in conjunction with other local/regional farms, including a grass-fed beef operation that is leasing a portion of our property.
Preference is given to folks with 1-2 seasons of farm experience. Apprenticeships run from April 18th through November 1st.
Applicants must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, work well with others and have a passion for working on a farm in a nonprofit setting. This position is paid.
Compensation includes a very competitive monthly stipend, housing, food, and an educational allotment (towards conferences, workshops, etc.).
The area is beautiful and surrounded by beaches and hiking trails. It is truly a wonderful place to be in the summer months. Hiking, biking, and kayaking are just some of the activities available.
