Company description We are a five acre, diversified, herbicide and pesticide free vegetable farm located in the Northern Berkshires. We deal mainly in wholesale with area restaurants and Williams College and attend a Saturday Farmers market. We also have a "farm to school" program with Williams College and hire 4-6 student interns each summer to work and learn farming practices. Internship description We offer a supportive work environment, where there is lots of room to wear many different hats on the farm. You will work side by side with the owner of the farm who has over 30 years of experience. While working closely with the farmer, you will have the opportunity to learn about the nuances and challenges of running a small vegetable farm.

Daily responsibilities include diverse tasks, ranging from greenhouse production, field crop planting, weeding and harvesting, to building and repairing farm infrastructure. The position requires:

*  Minimum of at least 1 season Related Experience, Preferred

This position has a flexible start date. We would love for someone to begin work in mid May and continue through Thanksgiving. However, we would entertain different start dates or working just for the fall, beginning in August.

The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm, and Saturday mornings until noon during the farmers’ market season. We pay $10 an hour and all the vegetables you can eat. Lunch is provided each day, however there is no on-site housing available.
