Built on the site of our family homestead, we started as a solo operation baking in a homemade outdoor clay oven. Over several years, two further oven changes and extensive renovations we are now a team of 10 and produce as many as a thousand loaves on our busiest days. In addition to providing bread for our region, we strive to serve our community in other ways as well. We are a meeting place in many ways, but most notably at our benefit community pizza nights in the summer.
We support other local producers by using and selling their eggs, milk, cream, butter and vegetables. We collaborate with schools and other educational organizations, hosting field trips and sharing what we do.
We embrace the need to constantly refine and improve what we do and how we do it. With close to 20 years under our belts we've learned a lot and have a thriving small business to show for it, but learning and improvement remain two of the most satisfying aspects of our work.
