Company description Joseph & Co. is a locally owned provision store inspiring the revival of the art and science of Home Economics.  Our retail store is inspired by the shops of Paris where food, home and entertaining are all centered around local community.  We believe in sustaining local culture and supporting individuals who create the community around us.  Our store is here to create a community that can shop, eat, drink, learn and entertain around locally inspired ideas.  We are passionate about feeding people as though they were at home.  We are growing and looking for creative individuals for  part-time internship and part-time retail/kitchen help. Internship description Homesteading enthusiast needed!  We are hiring a part-time, short-term intern to help design, start and maintain our plot in a community garden as well as our homestead garden which houses a flock of chickens.  The garden will be used for providing demonstrations and workshops about homesteading and urban gardening during the growing season, which the candidate will help to organize and teach.  The position will initially require 2-3 full days for planning, preparing the site and planting.  Typically 3-5 days a week for 2-3 hours for maintenance of the site will be required.  The candidate will oversee maintenance and harvesting of the plot which will include flowers and vegetables.  The plot will help to furnish our store with fresh produce and fresh cut flowers during the summer and fall.  This is a non-paid position, but a fair barter will be discussed during an interview for fresh cut produce, flowers, fresh eggs and credit for trade to the store.  We will be happy to sponsor the intern for class credit as well.  If you have a course requirement for receiving credit, bring that material to your interview and we will provide you with the necessary requirements.  If you have a passion for cooking we could provide extra hours in our kitchen preparing meals and daily provisions for the store.  We are seeking a passionate, self-motivated and reliable person.  Someone with a knowledge and passion for gardening, homesteading and farming is our ideal.  The position will ideally run from April 1st thru September 30th.  We are flexible with that time frame and will welcome all opportunities to have a dedicated intern.  We can be flexible with scheduling on a daily basis around your other obligations, all we ask for is reliability and accountability.  Please send all inquiries and/or resumes to joseph@athomewithjoseph.com Compensation this position is : college credit, barter
