Company description Cong Tu Bot is a casual Vietnamese restaurant focused on noodle dishes native to the streets of Saigon.  We are a new venture lead by a husband and wife team and plan to open this May.  Our goal is to NOT be a special occasion restaurant--in terms of price point, service style, and general resourcefulness we're drawing influence from the mom and pop Vietnamese restaurants that we grew up eating at in San Jose and Garden Grove, CA.  As for the menu and layout of the space, we're inspired by Tokyo-style small ramen shops.  Our dream at Cong Tu Bot is to prepare delicious, affordable food while nurturing our employees and our community by supporting them financially and professionally.  We believe that by taking care of our employees we empower them to provide the best service to our guests and to one another.  Cong Tu Bot will operate under a non-tipping pay structure--sometimes known as hospitality included.  This structure is intended to close any wage disparities and inconsistencies between employees while at the same time providing a more sustainable and predictable wage for all of our employees.  We want our contributions as a company to go beyond our walls and positively impact our neighborhood and community.  We have built sponsorship of local organizations into our business model as a first step in our commitment to supporting our community. Job description We currently have full time and part time openings for the following positions:

A line cook at Cong Tu Bot contributes to the team by preparing food and maintaining overall cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.  They are also responsible for providing good service to the rest of the team through mutual support, open communication, and commitment to the guiding principles of the business.  This position reports to the kitchen manager.  Previous experience is welcomed but not required.  We are more than willing to train the right person.  This position starts at $13/hr.

A server at Cong Tu Bot contributes to the team by providing our guests with friendly, accurate, and professional customer service as defined in training.  They are also responsible for providing good service to the rest of the team through mutual support, open communication and commitment to the guiding principles of the business.  This position reports to the manager(s) on duty.  Previous experience is welcomed but not required.  We are more than willing to train the right person.  This position starts at $12/hr.

A porter at Cong Tu Bot provides support for both the kitchen and service staff by washing dishes and maintaining general cleanliness and organization of the facilities.  They also help the kitchen with light food prep as needed and are responsible for providing good service to the rest of the team through mutual support, open communication and commitment to the guiding principles of the business.  This position reports to the manager(s) on duty.  Previous experience is welcomed but not required.  We are more than willing to train the right person.  This position starts at $11/hr.
