Job description

We are looking for a professional Pastry Chef to plan for and prepare desserts in our high-volume, scratch kitchen, following our Executive Chef's specifications and guidelines. The successful candidate will apply excellent culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our clients' satisfaction and our company's success. This individual will have full ownership of their work. Working knowledge of and passion for locally grown, sustainable, organic foods is a plus as we are highly committed to supporting local foodways.

Our Pastry Chef can expect to plan for and produce an extremely high-volume of sweets ranging from simple bars and cookies to wedding cakes, plated desserts, pies, and a wide range of exquisite pickup sweets including, but not limited to, trifles, truffles, macarons and macaroons, petit fours, mini eclairs and any number of crackers, quick breads, jams, compotes and whatever else the imagination of our team and our clients might capture.

The highly-qualified candidate will have high-volume experience, preferably in an off-premise catering environment, and will exhibit extreme attention to planning, organization, and creativity. This position is well suited for a person with a high level of patience and the ability to be resourceful.
